Tribute to Susan

I've been watching Chronicles of Narnia and talking about the books with my brother who won't read them. I realized once again how much I loved Susan and how when I was a kid I always wanted to be her. Probably how I've been influenced into taking up archery, which has become a very special hobby for me. I made her a lefty because that's how I picture her, she isn't an ordinary queen and I think there are more righty archers than lefties. I'm a lefty and I'm one of three in the archery club of my college. I tried my best to get her pose right, but she's pulling a little too far back.

Susan as an adult queen of Narnia had hair near down to her feet and I really liked that image.

I was devastated so long ago reading The Last Battle to learn that Susan didn't get to go to the "Real Narnia" with the rest of her family and that she "wasn't a friend to Narnia" anymore. I like to think that after the deaths of her siblings she once again believed in Aslan and that all their "games" were real in an effort to remember all the days they spent together.
